Welcome to the arrival suite of the Onekoshima Cattery (or Oneko Gallery) where all our island's residents live. The Onekos live in a grid in A-Z name order using original code taken from Bomvel's Neko Archive. Each oneko has been brought over from sites all over the Internet, ranging from GitHub repos to personal portfolios.
Many of the Onekos have been named after their original filename, but some had the generic 'oneko' filename, so to prevent overwrites I renamed them. Also some sheets have omitted frames, so may appear blank at intervals during the animation cycle.
I made some of the sheets by downloading the individual sprites from two different GitHub repos and using Spritesheet Generator to piece them together in the right order. For others, I used the base spritesheet from adryd's oneko.js repo and coloured/painted them in Microsoft Paint. I also dabbled in making some AI-generated sprites using Anthropic's Claude but they weren't that great, and honestly human-made onekos are the best onekos. Sources for the Onekos can be found on the Sources page. With the exception (partially) of the onekos I painted in MS Paint, the other sprites are copyrighted to their original artists and I do not claim any credit for the design and production of those Onekos. This gallery is intended solely as a personal collection and archive of these purrfectly adorable cyber cats.
